Not starting back up after parking

Hi, I was driving car my car seemed and all was fine until I pulled over to park, then it cut out. no workings or nothing tried to start it and all I get is a spinning noise. I have lights on dash tried to jump start, but nothing. do you have any ideas on this problem? thanks

It sounds like the battery has short circuited causing the problem you have described, here is a test you can do to make sure.
