Driving home the car shuts off, turns out the alternator belt is broken. After replacing it tried to jump start the car no luck. Had it towed home and the driver tried his jump box and still no luck. Replaced the battery and still does not seem to be turning over fast enough to start. Is there anything we could have knocked loose causing it not to start because it was working fine before the alternator belt broke?

Hi,

Is it possible for you to record it cranking and upload it for me to hear? The idea that only the alternator was replaced and now it won't crank properly is really odd.

Other than cranking slowly, does it sound normal?

Take a look through this link. It describes the most common causes of a crank no start condition.

Let me know. Also, let me know if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe
