There is a noise coming from the engine after I have been driving for about five minutes. The noise only happens when I accelerate from a stop and the car does have a hard time accelerating sometimes. It lasts about two to three seconds. I have done about sixteen hours of research on the various noises but nothing fits.
The car burns through oil pretty fast as well.

This sounds like you have a wrist pin that is seizing up causing the piston to wobble in the bore this would cause the piston rings not to seat well and pass oil. Can you make a short video with your phone and upload it so I can see whats going on? The upload feature will be ready tomorrow.

Can you remove the spark plugs to see which one looks different (dark)?

Here is a guide to help:

Please let us know what you find.
