Engine has a ticking or tapping sound - timing chain replacement?

It sounds like you have a timing chain guide that has broken or is worn. To be sure we will need to remove the timing chain cover. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response. I have included the cover and the timing chain replacement instructions in the diagrams below. Check out the diagrams (below). Thanks for the video. This is not a timing chain issue. Something has come apart in the engine it sounds like a broken piston or a rod bearing is gone. You might want to try to disconnect each ignition coil one at a time to isolate the cylinder but for sure the engine needs to come apart. Please let us know what happens.
