This seems to only happen when accelerating and goes away when I have an oil change done. When I first bought the car in March of 2019 it was in great condition. I took a trip 4 hours away to Kentucky and when I got to the hotel I noticed the clicking noise. I didn't think anything really of it. The noise got so bad that we just decided to go home because it was late Saturday and nothing was open and I wanted to be close to home in case something happened. I took my car in that Monday and they let me know that I had no oil in my car at all. Well stupid me should have checked back in Kentucky but didn't. So now I drove 4 hours with no oil in the engine and the noise comes back when I need an oil change. Well now I just had an oil change done 2 months ago and the noise is back.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Have you checked to confirm the oil level isn't low? If you have, does the oil look normal and not mixing with anything? Is there any excessive blue smoke from the exhaust or any noticeable oil leaks? Has the engine oil light ever come on while the engine is running?

Let me know.

Joe
