Engine noise

Just bought this car. Was told a new transmission with 20,000 miles on it was put in, new brake pads, new tires, and the oil was changed. Well put gas in it, drove it for about ten miles to get home. Car didn’t want to accelerate past 50 going up a hill on the highway. I could hear a weird clicking noise and a kinda burnt smell. After driving a little bit more, the smell and clicking went away, and it started accelerating fine again. Got home and popped the hood. The engine seems to ticking and vibrating.

It didn’t seem to be making the noise and be vibrating when turning the car on at first (the first video). Then I drove it down the road and turned it back around to see if that’ll do anything and the clicking is a bit more noticeable but it’s not shaking like it was when I popped the hood earlier. (Second video)

Do not like that noise at all. It is hard to say but it sounds like it is more than a lifter noise.

I would have a shop look at this and get their opinion and have them check the oil pressure.

Do you think that sound has anything to do with it not wanting to accelerate for a little bit? Or could this be more than one problem?

Yes, I do. I think it is all related.

I think you have engine issues here. That's why I suggested you have it checked by someone with a trained ear.
