2022 Deisel Trailboss. Battery went dead, took it into the dealership and it took 1.5 days to recharge it. They said that they cleared all of the codes that were thrown because of the dead battery. 2 days later the check engine light came back on but when it is hooked up to diagnostics not code is found.
We thought maybe it was the fuel filter so we changed that, but light is still on. Thought maybe it was bad fuel so put in new fuel but light is still on.
How do I find out what is wrong when it does not give a code? Is it possible that the engine light itself is malfunctioning?

To me it sounds like it could be a glitch in the computer system, I would disconnect the battery overnight and then reconnect it, please try your scanner with another car to make sure it works, and lastly the computer might need an update which you can get at the dealer. Also, try to clear the codes even though there are none. Please let me know what happens I am interested.

I ended up taking it back into the dealer. Turns out the reason the battery went dead the first time is because it was trying to do an update, but the battery died before it could finish. The dealer didn't bother to finish the update when it was in the shop previously. Update has been done finally but now the front facing camera does not work. Had to order a replacement.
Thank you for your advice as it was helpful.

Yep, updates can be tricky especially when the battery goes dead. Seems kind of a new truck for this kind of problem though. Did they say why the battery when dead?

He said i the update itself was what drained the battery when it was trying to download/install.

The reason I ask is it doesn't take that long to do the update the battery should have been okay. I would install a new battery to be safe. Here is how, check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
