Engine light on with error code: P2185 ECT sensor 2 circuit high voltage

Hi,

I get intermittent engine light coming on/off and when took to a local garage and the diagnostic meter showed the below error code:

P2185 ECT sensor 2 circuit high voltage.

The above error I believe is due to the ECT sensor but I am confused which one it is the one near the radiator or the other one.

I do not want to pay honda just to diagnose and tell me the sensor as it costs too much for their diagnostic and in the same or less amount I may manage to buy the right sensor and get it fixed.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Hello,

The sensor they are talking about with that code is the engine coolant temperature sensor on the engine.
