I recently replaced the o2 sensor on my car with a P0420 code and after driving it on the highway for about twenty miles at 60 mph the light comes back on with code P2A03 circuit range/performance bank 2 sensor 1(pending). Any suggestions on what this might be? Links to what sensor/relay I may need? Or a diagram to what is bank 2 sensor 1?

Hello,

Could you double check the Direct Trouble Code*DTC) number for me. It should have a letter then four numbers. Please get back to us with the DTC number and we will be able to help you more specifically. The O2 Sensor you are looking for is going to be the upstream O2 Sensor. There are two O2 Sensors per exhaust pipe, an upstream and a downstream. The upstream O2 sensor is the one closest to the engine, before the catalytic converter. The downstream O2 Sensor is the O2 Sensor after the catalytic converter. Upstream is O2 Sensor 1 and downstream is O2 Sensor 2. So if you are looking for the Bank 2 O2 Sensor 1(O2S21) it would be the front bank in the exhaust manifold, or closest to it. I have included a diagram in the diagrams down below.

Thanks,
Alex
