After braking the engine shut off and the check engine light turned on?

I hit my brakes, the car stalled, and check engine light came on.

This sounds the throttle bore has gone out but to be sure we need to run the codes, here is a guide to help and I have included how to change the throttle bore out in the images below in case you need them.
