Engine interchange/swap?

Can I put the 5.4 from a 2003 Ford King Ranch, into a 2006 Ford Lariat?

Hello,

These 5.4L engines have different VIN and are not interchangeable.
For the most part 2006 - 2008 uses the same engines, as long as the 8th digit of the VIN matches.
