Hi, I have a problem. When I go in a stall to park. The engine rpm's increase a great deal, and the car goes forward without pressing the gas pedal. This has happened a few times already. Need information what is causing this car to do that. Thanks for your help. Rudolph Cordeiro.

Does it do it at any other time? Does it have AC and is it on when this occurs? I would also look at see if there is a vacuum leak. Is the CEL on?

Check Engine Light. Turn the AC off and see if it still does it. If it still does I would take it to a dealer and have them check it as there are no mechanical adjustments, it uses drive by wire and this could be a faulty throttle pedal sensor or faulty throttle controller.

Hi Steve W. When I told you about the problem with my wife!S car, I took for granted it happens sometimes also. You see my wife drives her car every time. And she said the problem happens when she goes in a stall to park her car. She said it happen twice already. Is it still the problem you said could be causing the car problem. Sorry for the wrong information I gave you. It was not me driving my wife!S when that problem started. Be waiting for your reply. Thanks Rudolph Cordeiro. Email rudy_cordeiro@yahoo. Com

I cannot think of anything that would cause this to happen ONLY while parking, unless her foot is accidentally hitting the throttle while parking. Is she driving into the space or backing in? Does she perhaps turn and look over her shoulder or something like that while parking? Is this a new to her vehicle?
