Car was in front end collision, but not extreme although air bags deployed. The engine starts easily and idles smoothly but no response to accelerator at all. Replaced accelerator pedal with new one and same thing happens. Tested wiring and found no response on 6th pin on the accelerator pedal wiring harness connector. All other pins had correct voltage.

Let's run the codes to see what comes up, it sounds like the throttle actuator has gone out or something got unplugged during the repair.

Here is a guide to help get the codes:

Here is how to replace the actuator in case a code comes up for it. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Thanks for your reply. Engine code p2122 comes up. I replaced the accelerator pedal, but the same thing happened. The collision was not bad enough that it should have broken anything, but since there is no response on pin 6 on the wiring harness it may indicate a crack in the harness wire or broken wire. Would that be a viable assumption?

It could be throttle bore, but here is a guide to help test the wiring and the throttle pedal and engine wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and which wires to test:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

Here is the code definition:

The P2122 code indicates that the PCM/ECU has detected a low electrical value within the throttle/pedal position sensor circuit. Pin #6 goes directly into the PCM, also with the system on please check all fuses.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
