So my Pontiac torrent has had this engine hot/ac off since I have this vehicle. I have replaced the thermostat, the temperature control sensor on the block several times, I have had the radiator flushed , and currently on my third dash /cluster , replace wiring harness. There is no over heating , no oil in my radiator fluid, or radiator fluid in my oil. My temp gauge works rarely why I have so many replaced parts. Still same issue. I forgot I even had the map and PCM replaced. Only code I throw is a EVAP however I have noticed that when my gas gauge stops working properly that's when my temp gauge shuts down both fans come on and stay on. I don't lose power to car . Had the temp ran on the motor all in the good!!! Please help I'm currently trying to put in a ecm

Hi,

You replaced the temperature sensor, instrument panel, PCM, and so on and nothing has changed, correct? Based on what you described (fuel gauge) issue which leads to the temperature gauge not working, that sounds more like a connector issue.

Have you checked the pins in the ECM connector for damage, corrosion, or a loose connector? Both items you mentioned are tied to the ECM.

Also. if you look below, the ECM provides a low reference for each. That is a ground path.

Let me know.
