My engine has been heating up and sounds like it is boiling when I shut the car off.I can't use my AC because it seems to make it heat up faster. What could this be and what kind of cost for repairs are we looking at? Is it safe to drive short distances?

Good morning,

You should not drive the car until the issue is determined and repaired.

It could be a thermostat failure or coolant leak. If you keep driving it the way it is, you could do major engine damage to the engine.
