Engine runs fine one minute, then sounds like running on three cylinders. Plugs appear to be firing. Was going to check injectors next, but problem is intermittent, so not sure if this will tell me the truth. Error code read p2135, throttle position sensor a/b voltage correlation. Could this cause my problem? Do I have to replace the TBI unit, since it is self-contained? Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, this is probably connected with Direct Trouble Code (DTC) P2135. What is happening is when the DTC sets your vehicle is going into fail safe mode. This is done any time critical engine damage can happen, and it is intended for you to be able to drive your vehicle to a repair facility under reduced power to have it fixed. I have included a comprehensive troubleshooting guide in the diagrams down below for your vehicle to fix DTC P2135. Please go through the guide and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
