Starting getting hot temperature up over 200. Turn on heater temperature stays under 200. I am going to flush it. Any suggestions?

Some radiator fans will not turn on until over 220 degrees F. Is the radiator fan running? If it gets up over 240 degrees F, I would have to check it out. You can check the basics, thermostat--water pump--circulation through the radiator--coolant temperature sensor. Does the overflow bottle fill up in a hurry?

That engine should run at about 210 degrees normally. That is it's design temperature. As JDL says, it's when they get into the 230-240 range you need to worry. Radiator fans normally kick on around the 215-220 mark.
