Had previous rodent issues but haven’t had any activity in a while. Routinely check engine bay and filters just wondering if this filter looks good?

Yep, that air filter looks good. I would run it :) You might want to clean out the air filter box before reinstalling the filter.

I checked under the filter and the box was completely clean. I noticed black on the pleats is that just dirt? You can see it in the picture along the pleats of the filter folds.

Yes, there is a little dirt on it but not enough to warrant replacement.

You can do either, replace it if you want or replace it. I would use name brands like, Denso.

So then is it dirty enough to replace or hold off? I also noticed some leaves and dead bugs in the air box that I cleaned out.

I would replace it for peace of mind. Make sure to add it to your maintenance schedule.

It depends on how dirty the roads are that you drive on, but I would check it every time you change the engine oil.

The roads aren’t too bad, just a lot of pollen but my grandma's car only has 5,000 miles after 2 years, so she doesn’t need many oil changes, I think she still has another 3,000 miles before the next one. Do oil changes for synthetic need to be done every 6months? That’s what the dealership said but that seemed excessive.

It is mostly mileage for the oil change which should be between 6 and 7k. Have a nice weekend.
