Engine shut off while driving, no power

lost all power while driving. Pulled over put SUV in park tried starting it revs fast and doesn't fire.

This sounds like you have a failed timing chain. When it fails and the engine goes out of time, it cranks real fast or faster than usual from the lack of compression.

I would verify it by doing a compression test. If it has low or no compression, the chain has failed.

In that case, most likely you will need an engine. This is an interference engine. This means the valves will bend and damage the pistons when this happens.
