Replaced alternator and battery, ran fine first half of the day, now shutting off when you put it in gear.

Hi,
Based on what you replaced and the symptoms, it sounds like the alternator may not be charging as it should. If you haven't already, I need you to check it.
Here is a link that explains how to check the alternator's output. All you will need is a basic volt or multimeter. Follow this link and let me know what you find:

Also, let me know if the alternator or the battery were replaced because both failed or was it one of the other.
