The car was parked approximately two years, and after starting the car, drove it for about thirty five miles to another town. It would not start again, so I added fuel to intake and it started up and shut off afterwards. How can I check for fuel pump operation? There is no fuel pressure on fuel rail.

you have just about proved that the pump is not working, access the pump and check for power at the pump with the key on, it will only cycle for a few sec with out the engine running, if you prim and run engine, you can check current draw across the relay to see if electrical are ok, but i do feel as it has been sitting so long that the pump will be gummed up seizing up, you will have to flush the tank and replace the filter as well.

Is the pump in the fuel tank? Check for
voltage at 3 wire connector, which colored wire is the voltage? Is the fuel filter outside the tank? Where is the fuel pump relay? Thanks in advance
