Engine cranks, no start, no spark

Just to clarify, which year is the Suburban? You selected 1994 but typed in 1984. Which is correct?

The next item you need to check is the ignition control module. It can be tested.
You can take it to your local auto parts store and they have special testers for these modules.

You need to do some testing to see if you need either a coil or module. I attached a wiring diagram for you to follow.

I highlighted a wire and circled it in the diagram. Verify power to the coil at the pink wire with the key on. You should have battery voltage.

If you have voltage, then you need a test light to check the white wire. When cranking, the test light should blink.
