After overheating and replacing the radiator van will not start

It was overheating and then started smoking out of the hood. So I pulled over and opened the hood and there was coolant sprayed everywhere under the hood. I replaced the radiator , but now the van won't start. (It wouldn't start after overheating ) but even after replacing the radiator it still won't start. What could be the issue now ?

Hello,

This could a problem with your engines cylinder head that has warped, causing the head gasket to fail. What happens when your vehicle overheats is that the aluminum cylinder head can not handle the same amount of heat the your cast iron engine block can and slightly deforms, or warps. This allows the cylinder head to pull away from the engine block, which, in turn, causes head gasket failure. he engine's compression is lost through the compromise in the blown head gasket causing your vehicle not to start.
