Replaced cylinder head temperature sensor under manifold behind alternator thinking that was my problem but apparently somewhere on the engine is a ECT. Where is this sensor located?

That is the engine coolant sensor they call it the engine cylinder head temperature sensor. What kind of problem are you having? Here are the sensors on the engine in the images below.

Okay, replaced twice thinking I had defective part. While driving temperature gauge would drop but when in idle normal temperature. Gauge dropped down enough for check gauge light and engine light to come on. Code came up for cylinder temperature sensor. Changed twice same thing. Went to Ford asked for Engine coolant temperature sensor and was given one that is different size. So, I'm wondering if there is a coolant temperature sensor somewhere else on the motor like in the back under manifold?

It does look like it is under the intake manifold, I think the problem might be a thermostat that is stuck open though, have you checked it? Here is how in the images below plus I found another image on the coolant sensor location.

Yep, it looks like it is pointing to the same place under the intake on the left side front.
