Engine coolant temperature sensor location

I am trying to locate the engine coolant temperature sensor on the motor for the dash gauge not the ECT coolant sensor. I have a new one to replace it with.

It is on the front of the engine mounted below and to the side of the computers ECT. It's in the red circle in the image. They are the same sensor part number so a test to see if it is a sensor problem could be easily done by simply swapping the connectors and seeing if the gauge now works.
