My car showed an engine temperature warning. I checked the coolant tank, and it was empty, so I bought one gallon engine coolant from 7-eleven and poured it in the coolant reservoir, but it almost immediately got empty again. I looked under the car and saw it was leaking like a slow tap from near the front of the car more from right front (passenger side) whereas the coolant tank is towards left side (driver side) of the car. Can I know where it is leaking from? Radiator possibly?

Hi,

It could be the radiator, but there are a few things in that area that can leak. For example, radiator hoses, heater hoses, the water pump, and so on.

Here is what I suggest: First, take a look through this link and see if it helps you locate the leak:

If that doesn't help, you will need to pressure test the system. This will require a pressure tester, but most part stores will lend one to you. Here is a link that explains how it's done:

If you are uncomfortable doing either of these, wait until the engine is cold and take a few pics of where you are seeing the leak. If you can do it from under the vehicle, it may help.

Take care,

Joe
