Crank but no start.

Code P0340 "cam position sensor A circuit (bank 1 or single sensor)".

Replaced cam position sensor bank 1. No change.

Plug will spark one time when cranking then nothing. Also, when reading live data I lose connection with ECM 1 second after beginning crank.

Is there something that would cause the ecm to shut down so quickly?

Yes, if the crankshaft sensor is picking up movement and the camshaft senses no movement it will shut down. Can you confirm the timing chain is in tact? Does the engine sounds okay when cranking over?

Please let me know, Cheers, Ken
