It is usually stamped on the front of the block where the cylinder heads are bolted on. What problem are you having? Not sure what you mean by decoded number?

I called the dealer they said is was on left side of engine down by the starter on a stamp or there is a barcode and a number under the code which will be on the valve cover which will be the serial number.

You would need to call the dealer for that.
