Engine shuts off while driving

My vehicle started turning off while running on the streets and causes traffic jam. It takes a while to start the engine again and it will not start without odometer reading and other panel instruments functioning. When power resumes the engine runs for 30 to 45 minutes and shuts off again. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting battery cables to reset but it takes time to start engine again. Sought a mechanic with code reader but no codes could be read. Had PCM checked for circuit problem but nothing found.

However, if it starts and I turn off the engine it starts again. It is only when engine automatically turns off that it will not start again at once.

No problem with starting motor so far. But engine indicator lights on in instrument panel.

Hello,

This is a common problem when the ASD relay goes out which is easy to replace because it self initializes. Here are the instructions to test unit and its location:
