Hi,
An engine shutting off could be many things. However, the most common cause for it to just turn off is a crankshaft sensor issue or a PCM issue.
Do you know if the crankshaft sensor was replaced when the engine was replaced?
If so, the most likely cause from here would be the PCM. However, there could be an intermittent power or ground issue so the only way to know for sure is to test it when it acts up. This is next to impossible to be monitoring it when it stalls. The way we would do it at a dealership is to set a data recording up and attempt to capture it.
Here is a guide that runs through the other major items. Have you tested the fuel pressure when this happens? Let's run through these items and tell me what has been replaced with the engine and we can go from there. Thanks
