Engine bucks then stalls out. Seems to do it in hot weather. Then I wait approximately fifteen minutes before I can restart it. I have changed both fuel filters, air filter and cleaned the contacts on the distributor cap.

This sounds more like a carburetor problem, there is a good chance that the alcohol has eaten up the inside of the float and it does not keep enough gas in it for that to happen. Is this a carburetor engine or has it been modified to fuel injection? What kind of carburetor is it and what engine/model of car?

Best thing here is quadrajets have huge vacuum leaks and go to powertrain tv. Com type in quadrajet carburetor in search they have a link to fix it for good. If you have the plastic floats in it replace them due to alcohol messing them up.
