Not sure what you want us to tell you. You have already confirmed there is some kind of serious internal damage and you are going to have to start taking things apart to find out what.

Yes the garage has said that it will require stripping down and they will have to take the engine out and it could require another engine is this normal as it only has 27000 miles on cloack

Normal? Of course not but at this point you still don't know what happened. It needs to be diagnosed as I already stated.
