Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

The first thing you need to have done is scan the computer for trouble codes. That will guide us to what is causing the problem. Many things can cause it.

First, here is a video that shows how to check for trouble codes:

Next, here is a link that describes common causes of low power:

If you are able to scan the computer, let me know what codes you find. Take a look through the links I added. Something very simple may be the problem. Also, if you have other questions, let me know.

Take care,
Joe

Okay, start with the ground on top of the engine every ground and on top that I could find I tightened up was driving fine made it a day and the check engine light and low power came on again I am baffled. I ran a code check P1125, P1295, P1515, PO602. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out what is going on. Replaced the fuel filter that looked original I just gave it a tuneup not to long ago I might be 200 miles over my oil change I have not had time to go. I have watched a few YouTube on this problem and I guess my next step is to find the grounds underneath. Then clean them up. Next Is the wiring harness. I just had my timing belt replaced. It all comes in a kit brand new water pump so I am baffled I just had a crossover put on. I have a lot of money in this car and I really do not want to get rid of it. I own my own business and I Kind of do not have the cash to buy new car. One of the YouTube videos I watched said it could possibly be compression, but the day that it ran it ran absolutely the best it has ever ran. So I am at a loss. So if you have any more suggestions I would appreciate it, thanks.

Welcome back:

Honestly, the P0602 indicates a programming error in the PCM. The remaining codes point to the reduced power and throttle issues. All of the following errors are most likely the result of the PCM.

P1125 indicates fail safe mode ( no power issues)

P1295 indicates power saver mode ( no power issues)

P1515 throttle position correlation error. (No power issues)

At this point, and I hate to say it, I feel the PCM may either need reprogrammed or replaced.

PCM stands for power control module. It is basically a computer. The PCM supplies either 5 or 12 volts to power various sensors or switches throughout the vehicle. When it fails, many different things can happen.

It is located under the hood near the air box. I attached a picture for you to see it.
