Engine oil pressure went down to 0?

I was parked ithought i put the truck in drive it was in neutral I gave it gas the rpms went up to around 4.5k I looked at the dash and my oil pressure went down to 0 got an allert looked under the truck there was a small pool of oil and oil by the firewall area and spark plug plug in area i investigated under and looked like a small Crack around the transmission to oil pan area

Do not restart or drive the truck until the oil leak and zero-pressure warning are diagnosed. Even a short period with genuinely zero oil pressure can severely damage the engine.

On the 4.8L engine, the oil-pressure sensor is located at the rear of the engine, behind the intake manifold near the firewall. These sensors can leak or rupture, sending oil down the back of the engine and around the rear spark-plug/bellhousing area. If enough oil escaped, the gauge could fall to zero. This location makes a failed sensor a strong possibility. Here is the location of the oil pressure sensor so you can check it out.

Yes" good looking out strailer ive seen them crack and seep oil all over the rear engine area and make a big mess or just leak around the base .. my guess is theyre made of a specific grade of plastic that gets brittle over time being exposed to hihg heat being stationed in the rear area of the engine thats a great starting place to look first
