Brake ignition light and shifter replaced. This does not occur every time. Dealer calls. "Fixed working fine (tried 5 different times)" but when I go to the dealer to pick it up, I can't get it out of park. Mechanic comes back out, I'm not present, tries it is fine. I go out move the seat, start engine, put Windows halfway down won't go out of park. Already over $1,100.00 in labor only and problem not fixed. Maybe putting windows halfway down has an effect?

When you say the shifter has been replaced did that include the shift interlock solenoid? If not, it sounds like the shift interlock control unit is going out. Here is the location of the solenoid and the wiring diagrams for the system so you can see how to works and the location of the shift lock control module which is on the left side of the dash so you can change it out. Let me know how it goes. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem. The control solenoid is in with the shifter.
