Hi,

When you say throttle keeps racing, do you mean the engine idle speed (RPMs) are high? If so, how high does it idle? Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running?

As far as a high idle, it can be a few things. If the engine light stays on, have the computer scanned.

Next, a higher idle can be caused by an engine vacuum leak.
