I recently took my car back to the dealer about a check engine light he hooked a tool up to my car I guess a diagnostic and it came back with no issues. I take it in for a inspection and test come back my car is not ready yet. Does that have something to do with the diagnostic test that was performed?

Yes, that means he cleared the memory of the computer and now you have to drive it around until it has had a chance to test every circuit it monitors.

If the check engine light was on when you went into the dealer, then he tried to hide it by erasing the code.

Thanks and that is exactly what he did and he keep convincing me it has nothing wrong so I cannot get a passing inspection because he refuses to fix it. I have had a lot of money and time wasted when I could have took my business elsewhere. thanks a lot for your help.
