Recently lost power while driving after turning off freeway, I had no acceleration coldness go more than 5 MPH the car shut off several times, and it took about 30 minutes to get to my home (2.5 miles). The car sat for a few days and didn't start though it turned over, it seemed to lack amps. When I tried jump starting it there was an indication of a dead short, I'd previously repaired the A/C after the compressor broke away from the engine block (had to make a bracket the mounting bolts sheared off in the block) found the wire to the compressor disconnected when attempting to refill the system with Freon. When I took it to a service shop they wouldn't even attempt to repair or reconnect the wiring. This had occurred about 7 months prior to the current issue. After the failed jump start I made the reconnection of the A/C compressor wiring assuming that the lose wire was the source of the dead short when I reconnected the battery there was no indication of a dead short but I now have zero power past the battery keyed to open the start position or run position there's no power at all .I've tried checking the fuses and fusible link but nothing seems to make the power available beyond the battery itself and it shows fully charged 12.3 volts. What's next?
