Hello friends,

I have to install rear fog lights for the van listed above. It is the car from USA, without rear fog light, but in EU country it is required. I have to put an additional wire from front fog light to rear fog light. I am going to replace one reversing light bulb to LED dual color light bulb white/red. White for revers, and red with priority for rear fog light. It will be okay for the law. I would like to know which wire is with fog light? Which wire and where I can find it to ease to connect my additional wire. I put this additional wire near driver place. Have I easy to connect near light swich, or I heve to put this wire near the engine, to light bulb directly?
I am interested in easy to connect. :-)
Thank you for your reply.

Hi,

I'm not sure I completely understand. However, I have attached schematics which I hope help you. If you look at the first 4 pics below, they are related to the vehicle's original equipment fog lights. They are tied into the headlamp circuit. I highlighted their locations and power supply. Note: One wire is for LED lights and the other is without LED.

Pics 5 and 6 show the wiring for the reverse/backup lights.

The remaining pics are for the exterior lighting system.

If you need the rear fog lights to turn on in reverse, you should be using pics 5 and 6 circuit. If you try to jump power from the front fog lights, the fronts will turn on at the same time.

Here is a link you may find helpful when doing this:

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe

See pics below. Note: I had to cut each page of the schematics in half to make them readable for you. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

Dear Joe,

Super - Thank you for your reply :-)
I am sorry for my English, but you understood me well. I will replace one white reverse bulb with red bulb which will be turn on while front fog light are turn on too. Your first picture is good looking for me - I am going to:
1. Connect to Power Distribution Module, to pin C5 or C10. Where is situated this module?
2. Or to Body Control Module via one relay. Question - C6 and D16 is it the same signal 12VDC from Front Fog Light Switch? Where is situated this second module?
I do not know where is easier to jump power.
Thank you again,
Pawel :-)

Hi,

You are very welcome. Your English is fine.

The power distribution module is located on the right side of the interior. It is behind the kick panel. That is where the person sitting on the right would rest his right foot.

The body control module is under the dash on the left side of the vehicle.

Be careful adding power draws to modules. You don't want them overloaded. Have you considered taking power from the fuse box and running a new wire to a toggle switch and then back to the rear fog lights? You could place an inline fuse in the wiring for protection.

Let me know.

Joe

Thank you, Joe, for your help.
Could you please mark on the picture where is C connector on PCM and C and D connectors on BCM? I am not sure where is easier to connect to yellow/blue wire or purple wire at some distance from the module.

Hi,

Pics 1 and 2 below are from your pic 2. Your pic 2 is the BCM.

Your pic 1 is the power distribution module.

So, pics 1 and 2 below are connectors C and D for the BCM. Pics 3 and 4 are for the power distribution module C and D connectors. (Your pic 1)

I added connectors C and D for both.

I hope this helps.

Joe
