Started a month ago with trunk ajar warning light coming on despite the trunk being securely latched. Has progressed to front amber lights and tail lights staying on after turning off the car which has drained the battery twice. The lock/unlock button on the dash stopped working to unlock doors and has now stopped locking the doors. Now after 15 minutes, without any exterior lights remaining on, the battery has apparently died.

The smart junction boxes on these cars can be problematic, as I have replaced several over the years. But to properly diagnose these will require a scan tool and to retrieve codes and view pids along with workshop manual info. If you can retrieve the codes from the smart junction box we could take it one step further to aid in diagnosing your concern.
