Hi,

This is a wierd one, so hope you can help.

When i have my headlights on, steering left or right round a corner starts to trigger the volume, change radio stations or change from CD to radio & viceversa. This doesn't happen when the lights are switched off.

Only discovered this problem moving into winter when i need my lights more.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

David

I suspect you have lighted switches on the steering wheel. If the clock spring is coming apart, it can short multiple circuits together just as if you were pressing a switch. With the lights turned on, one of those circuits will be live, and it is probably touching another circuit when you turn the steering wheel.
