I have an electrical problem. Car will not start or even turn on, but headlights turn on and off, nothing else works. When I mess with fuse box everything comes on but for a quick minute but I cannot find the correct wire, what can this be?

Check the voltage at both sides of the fusible link C in the fuse and fusible link box, located left side under the hood.

I did not actually fix it. I got it to run to try and get it to my mechanic who is twenty miles out and now it shuts off while driving. No accessories work but the radio and air.

Without a voltmeter or at least a twelve volt test light about all you can do is wiggle all of the fuses, make sure the battery cable ends are tight and try to get it to start and run again so you can make it to that mechanic.

Turns out it was a piece of plastic wedged under the 100a fuse which caused it to have this problem.
