Sometimes this creates an issue with having to unhook the battery to go back to normal. What is causing this to happen? It only does this when I turn on my wipers.

Hello thanks for using 2CarPros. it sounds like the body control module is having some problems. The system should be scanned to see if there is any diagnostic codes stored in the BCM. These vehicles use a CAN BUS system for communication to different modules. There is going to be a error occurring on one of these data lines. Possibly a bad BCM shorted internally. A scan tool with the option of scanning each different module will be required.
