Several weeks ago I started noticing several what I think are electrical issues.
My compass will not stay calibrated, my trip odometers are erased every time I turn it off and my key fob will not unlock the doors.

I noticed all of these issues at the same time.

I hope you can help, no one else has been able to.
I have been to your site several times,
And you have helped me several times on several vehicles

Thank you,

Hello,

It sounds like the BCM (main body ECU) is going out or you have a fuse (Door 1, ECU ig1, ACC) out causing these issues but to be sure lets run a CAN scan to see what is going on. here is a video of the job being done and the BCM location so you can check the connector for corrosion:

and

Here are the BCM wiring diagrams so you can see how it works and fuse locations for testing. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Body control module issues are possible as noted by Ken, however during my tenure as a Toyota tech before I went to Ford I’ve seen low voltage issues cause symptoms like these over and over again. A weak battery or even corroded terminals have cause problems on start-up there would be enough voltage to crank the engine (barely) but the voltage would drop below 9 volts thus making modules reset and lose memory. Always start with the simple and necessary components, power and ground. They’re cheaper also.
