So, I have the car listed above and it was sitting for awhile. I replaced the alternator as well as the battery because it was not any good. I tried to start it afterwards and nothing. I get power to the windows, head lights, tail lights, and power seats, but the dash does not light up and there is no crank or attempt to turn over. I replaced the starter and afterwards when I tried to start it up. You can hear the click so the starter is engaging but nothing it will not make any attempt to turn over. I would appreciate any advice I can get. Thanks guys.

Hello JRMYNELSON1983.

How are you doing? As a first course of action, I would inspect all the ground connections. Since it has been sitting for a while, the ground points to the body can be corroded. You may want to check the cable on the starter as well for corrosion that is why it just clicks. These are just some things to look at. The vehicle's computer can be at fault as well that is why it is not starting and not giving signal to the engine sensors. There is a possibility that you will need to replace it. If ever you get it to run, please see if the check engine light is on. You can have a thorough diagnostic using a scan tool. Hope this helps and please keep us posted.

Regards,

Relly

This is applicable even if your check engine light is not on.
