My vehicle was running perfectly fine went to turn the key and truck is dead. Checked the battery’s they are good. Tested all the fuses all are good. No power to the dash at all. No lights, No horn stereo etc. Checked with a voltage tester and for some reason not getting power to the starter. Not a mechanic by any means and new to the site. No mechanics will come to check it out and can’t drive it to the shop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

It sounds like the ignition switch has gone out. To be sure here is a guide to help you check for power and the ignition switch wiring so you can see how it works:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Hey Ken thank you very much. So I did check all the connections and I have power at the Fuses but no power to the key. I ran a wire from the battery to the ignition switch and everything came on. Question is, if it is the ignition switch would it control the power to everything including lights horn and turn signals?

Yes it does. Do you have power at the black/red and the black/yellow wires?

Got it figured out Ken thank you so much for your help. It ended up being a crack in my ground connection from the battery.
