electrical connection on OnStar box removal

Hello,

I'm trying to remove the OnStar unit temporarily. It is difficult to get to, but I'm close. I need to reach into a tight spot to undo the electrical connector so I can remove the box. I am enclosing a picture. I don't know how to remove it, nor if it is the black part or the white part that releases from the box. (I'm referring to the connector with lots of wires on the left hand side.) I've tried lifting the little white locking clip up (as in the video) and then tried to upll up on the connector, no luck. Any help is appreciated!

Sorry to tell you but removing it won't do much but disable parts of the vehicle as it isn't a separate part like they used to be, it is also part of the ABS, Collision Avoidance, Phone interface, Navigation, Satellite radio, Anti-Theft, primary data network and more. They did that because thieves, drug dealers and such thought they couldn't be tracked if the On-Star module was pulled. So the system was integrated into the vehicle more and will log that into the BCM as a permanent code. If you decide you don't want On-Star when you buy the vehicle they just call in and they deactivate that part of the system. If you decided at a later date you did want it you could just call in and get it reactivated.
