Drivers side rear turn signal bulb removal instructions needed

I have the vehicle listed above 2.7t Quattro. Trying to replace driver's side rear turn signal light bulb. I can't get one of the bulbs out. Normally I just twist and pull to remove it but one bulb has a plastic casing that prevents it from being pulled out.
