While driving, the electric fan (radiator) will start running?

intermittent issue. While driving, the electric fan (radiator) will start running, the temperature gauge drops (doesn't register a temperature) and, if the A/C is on, stops cooling. still blows but not cool as if the compressor kicks off.
I can disconnect the battery ground and reconnect it. Then everything operates normal. I then have to reset some of my radio settings.
Lately, this issue has been happening more frequently.

It sounds like the engine coolant sensor is going bad and making the PCM think the engine is overheating. We might want to do a CAN scan which this video will show you how:

Here is the location of the sensor so you can swap it out. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
