There is a wire hanging down to my feet, what does it do?

I need to know what the wire is about, that is hanging down to my feet, from under the dashboard that has a black 1inch square at the end. I touched it and it was hot.

Hi,

That is a good question. Is there anything not working as it should? Also, take electrical tape and cover it until we figure this out.

I need to know the wire color. Let me know that.

Also, if you want to narrow it down, connect a test light to it so that the light is on. Remove one fuse at a time until the light goes out. This will at least let us know the circuit involved.
